are being called to a special meeting
March 3 and 4, 2009, in Austin, Texas

Texas State Senator Craig Estes and Attorney General Greg Abbott introduced this last December the "Foreclosure Protection" bill, the proposed Foreclosure Rescue Fraud Prevention Act (SB354) which will be debated during the upcoming session of the state legislature.

The bill as currently written requires real estate investors to pay a minimum purchase price of 82% of fair market value to a home owner facing foreclosure along with other stipulations. It is imperative that our state legislators hear from real estate investors about this proposed act before making any final decisions or votes.

National REIA and HomeVestors are hosting a Texas Legislative Summit with some key legislators to discuss the plan. Please plan to attend and voice opinions and concerns on this matter directly to some key legislators during the Texas Legislative Summit.
